DOWNLOAD SYMBOL FOR WINDOWS GOLD including the Planner!

Step 1: download your copy of Symbol for Windows here. This download is free and works as a demo. During installation, you can indicate which modules and/or databases you'd like to install. Saving and printing is disabled in demo-mode. Would you rather install from a DVD-rom? Ask one of our distributors to send you one. Please don't forget to specify you'd like them to give you a DVD-rom with version 4.2!

Select a language and the Update Wizard in the language of your choice will appear. This Wizard installs the Gold version, versionnumber 4.2.

Step 2: Contact one of our distributors to buy a registration code or USB key for the module of your choice. With either of these, your program will be fully operational and no longer work as a demo.

System requirements:

Do you already own a Symbol for Windows program and do you want to update it? With the Update Wizard you can easily update the Symbol for Windows program(s) you have already installed. Select a language in the selection window at the top of this page and click OK.

If you have already downloaded the Update Wizard before, you can update or re-install your Symbol for Windows programs with it directly from your computer, without opening an internet browser. In the Symbol for Windows Shell (which you can open by clicking on the Symbol for Windows icon on your desktop), choose Control Panel to find the Update Wizard.

Updating your Symbol for Windows to version 3.4 for free

Symbol for Windows version 3.4 has been released as the last update free of charge. Even more improvements have been made than in version 3.3. If you already have a Symbol for Windows program, it is recommended to update to version 3.4, especially if you need a new USB key. Older versions will not work with this new Unikey! You can have both versions of Symbol for Windows (3.4 and 4.0) on your computer at the same time, version 4.0 will not overwrite older versions.

However, if you own a LPT key that looks like the one in the picture (This dongle goes in the printer port and has been sold until 2002), do not (yet) download and install any versions of Symbol for Windows above 2.2. From version 2.3 (May 2006) onwards, this type of key is no longer supported. First contact your dealer to see if and how you can replace your old dongle with a new one.

If you have a USB dongle old style (2002 - now, see picture), you can download the program without any problems: it will continue to work with the old USB keys.

From version 3.4 onwards, if you want to buy a dongle, you will receive the USB dongle new style, the Unikey (see below). This key works with version 3.4 and higher.

If for some reason, downloading the programs and databases with the Update Wizard doesn't work, download them from the former upgrades page.
