Themed charts

Themed charts are made for a season, for a special occasion or for a talk about current events. They can be a welcome enhancement of the user's usual vocabulary.

Calendar 2009

This is a calendar for 2009. To personalize it you can add a row or column into which you can put pictures. You can place pictures in the empty spaces as well, or place someone's picture on the date of his birthday.
Unzip the zip file in the folder: \program files\handicom\symforwin\documents. A Weekly Schedule and a Daily Schedule can be found in the chart cabinet.

Rich And Poor

Half of today's world population doesn't have a toilet, the United Nations said in May 2007.
These two charts were made to help having a conversation about 'Poor And Rich'. Both charts are available in two different layouts. The second layout sorts and colours the symbols by word class.

Hot, hotter, hottest

Global warming is a hot item, especially since Al Gore released his documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth'. This chart pictures this complex theme as simple as possible.

Tip: the option 'Translate Chart' (in the Options menu) converts symbols in a chart to symbols of a symbol type from another database.

More charts with other subjects can be found in the Chart Cabinet. When new charts replace the charts on this page, the older charts will move to the Chart Cabinet.

Communication Charts: Set

We can offer you one entire Symbol for Windows communication chart set.
This set of paper charts was compiled by an AAC magazine ("Drieluik") in the Netherlands. The editors bundled the paper charts that were published in the magazine over the past years.
You can download the charts in a zip file.

Note: Unzip the chart set in the Symbol for Windows directory for Paper Chart Maker files (usually this is the directory C:\program files\handicom\symforwin\documents).
